Happy Friday, RISERS! I hope this week has been good to you. Here we are at Good Friday, which means a long weekend and time with family. Whatever your plans, I hope you have a safe weekend.
Quote of the week: “Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of its own.” –Charles Dickens
Joke of the week: Why couldn’t the rabbit fly home for Easter? He didn’t have the hare fare.
Movie of the week: Since it’s Easter weekend, I want to share with you a cool animated movie, The Rise of the Guardians. It’s a great film that showcases the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman, and even Jack Frost and Santa Claus. The characters must band together to fight the Boogeyman and save the hope of children all over the world. It has several memorable quotes, including one from Santa Claus, “Still waiting for cookies.”
Nugget of Wisdom of the week: This week, I don’t so much have a nugget of wisdom as just a wish that you enjoy every minute you can with those around you. My father passed away three years ago this week. I wish I could see him one more time. Also remember those around you who may not have anyone to spend the holiday with on Sunday. Consider asking someone over for dinner or meeting a single friend for a movie. Just letting people know that someone cares about them can mean the world to them.
Shout-Out of the week: This week, I want to give a shout-out to those who keep on working when everyone else has time off. This includes emergency personnel, restaurant and airline workers, and many others. I hope that during this holiday weekend, you have time to rest and relax with your loved ones.
Have a great weekend. Remember, you are most awesome, and YOU ROCK!
