Denise Johnson

Denise Johnson is a native of New England who has lived in TN going on five years. Denise is passionate about helping at risk youth because of the support she received as an at risk youth from the church and her school, which helped her find resources to go to college when her family couldn’t provide that. Her passion has led her to working as a high school English teacher for the past five years. In the midst of those years, Denise has been involved in designing and implementing disciplinary initiatives for Title I schools and she even helped design the framework for the school, Howard Connect Academy. Denise has also been involved in local church ministries and nonprofits that work with the youth and at risk adults including the non-profit ministry based in Chattanooga called Love’s Arm.
